Lusophone Platform on Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation

PLICIB is a program created by AICIB, with the support of FCT and co-financed by EDCTP3, whose main objective is to promote a proactive intervention by the Portuguese scientific community in Portuguese-speaking African countries (PALOP) and neighboring countries.

PLICIB provides executive and financial support for the establishment of human and infrastructural capacity-building efforts in clinical research and biomedical innovation, and in the areas of ethics, regulation, and certification, aimed at Research and Clinical Practice Units of the PALOP.

How did PLICIB emerge?

PLICIB emerged from the perceived need to reinforce support for the Portuguese scientific community within the context of EDCTP.
