104 project proposals received by calls’ closure – Global Health EDCTP3
Global Health EDCTP3 received 104 applications by 3 September (second stage) for the 2025 calls. Applicants requested almost €666.5 million in funding from Global Health EDCTP3, compared with an indicative budget of €239.8 million.
The 104 applications involve 453 different partners from 68 countries. 55% of the partners are based in Africa and more than 40% in Europe. The 2025 calls invited applicants to submit proposals across seven distinct topics, corresponding to the broadest and most ambitious work programme since the establishment of the Joint Undertaking in 2021.
The evaluation of proposals submitted by independent experts is already underway. Results from the second stage are expected to be communicated by January 2026, with the signature of grant agreements to start shortly thereafter.
