MISSIONS
Praia – Cape Verde
Aiming to continue the objectives of the Action Plan, the Executive Coordination of PLICIB traveled to Praia, Cape Verde, from May 28th to 31st, 2024, for meetings with national political decision-makers, academia, and institutional entities.
A scientific mission from the University of Coimbra to the University of Cape Verde provided the pretext for organizing this mission, which aimed to present the Platform and promote discussions on Cape Verde’s accession process to the EDCTP Association.
The delegation was received by the Embassy of Portugal / Instituto Camões in Cape Verde, the Secretary of State for Health, the Secretary of State for Higher Education, the National Directorate of Health, and the Rectorate of the University of Cape Verde.
There was explicit interest in PLICIB, and Cape Verde’s accession process to the EDCTP Association saw a significant advancement.
